We’ve been pleased to recently become an audio equipment supplier for Liverpool’s wonderful Tate Gallery for the new exhibition by Theaster Gates – widely recognised as one of the world’s leading & most influential artists.
Low Fold were asked to help configure & supply equipment to realise a large multi-channel audio system for Gates’ exhibition ‘Amalgam’ which opened early December 2019 on the Liverpool waterfront.
Working with the Tate’s in-house AV team, headed by Roger Sinek, LFA Ltd supplied 26 JBL Control 25AV loudspeakers in white, to provide high-quality point-source audio playback throughout the exhibition. The JBLs were chosen for offering an excellent combination of audio quality & inobtrusive design, as well as being cost-effective & easy to mount & install on such a large scale.
Low Fold also supplied a Tascam ML-32D Dante audio interface to handle multi-channel digital audio over network ethernet control. The ML-32D offers up to 32 channels of bi-directional analogue I/O to a Dante network in a 1U rackmount design.
We’re sure the exhibition will be a major success for the both Theaster Gates & Tate Liverpool & we look forward to working with the gallery again in the future.
